Managing Partner

Mihae Kim Stefani has over 30 years of experience as the founder and principal of Gimga Design Group and has completed over 10,000 successful projects in corporate identity, branding, print/communication collateral design, annual reports, web design, marketing, social media, animation, and event management.

Her clients range from small businesses to corporations to international organizations.They include health care, law firms, non-profit organizations, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, U.S. Government agencies, and The World Bank Group. 

Since 1991, Mihae has been active in community work. She enjoys mentoring her staff/young professionals and clients and friends on ways to improve their businesses’ bottom line through more effective branding, marketing, and communications. She has served on the board of directors of several Korean American community organizations, was a commissioner on the Vienna Virginia Fine Arts Commission, and is a member of the Council of Korean Americans, Vienna Art Society, Vienna Business Association, Asian Chamber of Commerce. After she graduated from the Corcoran School of Art & Design, Mihae worked at several prestigious design firms in Baltimore and New York City before starting her own design firm in 1991.

Jeffrey Stefani

Managing Partner

Jeffrey Stefani worked on communications for a U.S. congressman, conducted research on marine invertebrates at the Smithsonian, provided strategic analysis to international capacity-building programs for the U.S. Department of Defense, and was a conference interpreter for the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Defense.

During a 30 year career with the U.S. Department of Defense, he drafted the first international engagement strategy for the U.S. Army and Army regulations on multinational force interoperability. His work for the Office of the Secretary of Defense focused on international capacity-building. It included drafting legislation, developing program evaluations for security cooperation programs, and leading strategy and planning efforts for the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies.

He is a graduate of Georgetown University with a master’s degree in National Security Studies from the U.S. Army War College and a Certificate in Foreign Policy Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Jeffrey is a native of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He speaks French, Italian, and German.

Won Kim

Managing Partner

Won Kim served for over 20 years as a senior attorney at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, with expertise in administrative law and regulatory compliance, focused on regulatory procedures and policy initiatives.

After her retirement, she joined SML Genetree Sciences as VP of regulatory compliance and legal affairs, as well as overseeing the commercialization of in-vitro diagnostic systems products in the U.S. market.

Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, she earned a master’s degree from Ewha Women’s University, and won the British Council Fellowship to earn a second master’s degree from the University of Exeter, England. She taught English at Ewha until she emigrated to the United States in 1988 to start a family.

Launching a second career in public policy and community service, Ms. Kim graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1995. Since then, she has been actively involved in several community organizations and served on the boards of various non-profit organizations. At the Potomac School in McLean, Virginia, she volunteers as parent representative, as mentor to families of incoming students, and serves on the Board of Trustees.

Mu Kyung Hong, MD

Managing Partner

Mu Kyung Hong, MD is a board certified gastroenterologist serving the Northern Virginia community. He received his medical school training at Georgetown University School of Medicine (1989-1992) and did his Internal Medicine residency and Gastrointestinal (GI) fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital.

Dr. Hong also did research at the NIH’s National Cancer Institute for two years.
He has been in private practice since 1996. In 2009, he joined other GI specialists to open the Chantilly Endoscopy Center. Dr. Hong also has privileges at Fairfax and Fair Oaks Hospitals
